Welcome to
In this week’s edition: We’re talking about letting go of the pressure to do it all, an office reminder from Luz, spotlighting Dr. Larrimore of Larrimore Family Dentistry, and giving you a preview of the next episode of Luz Musings.
Making Room for What Matters
There’s something about this season that can make us want to hold on a little tigher – to our routines, expectations, and all the things we think we should be doing.
But getting healthier isn’t always about trying harder, researching more, or adding another thing to the list. Sometimes, it looks like the opposite. It’s focusing on what’s right in front of us: the people closest to us, getting enough sleep, and letting go of some of the extra activities and obligations that simply aren’t necessary right now.
Instead of white-knuckling our way through the season and trying to make everything happen at once, maybe there’s room to release a little. To allow. To make space for what actually matters.
Trying harder isn’t always the answer. Sometimes the healthiest thing we can do is loosen our grip.
We’re Here When You Need Us
When you or someone you love isn’t feeling well, we want to make getting care as simple as possible. We offer same-day and next-day sick visits whenever possible. You can self-book through Elation or call/text the office during business hours, 8AM-4PM, to schedule an appointment.
What Can You Let Go of This Week?
Instead of focusing on food or another new health goal this week, we’re inviting you to look at your schedule. Is there something you’ve been telling yourself is required – when it really isn’t? Maybe it’s an obligation you can say no to, an expectation you can lower, or a task that can wait.
Take that newly opened space and use it for something you haven’t had enough of lately: rest, time outside, a slow evening at home, or uninterrupted time with the people you love.
Health isn’t only about what we add. Sometimes it’s also about what we’re willing to release.
Community Spotlight: Larrimore Family Dentistry
This week, we’re highlighting Dr. Heather Larrimore of Larrimore Family Dentistry in Ephrata. Dr. Larrimore focuses on the connection between oral health and whole-body health. Her practice uses tools such as biofilm testing and dark-field microscopy to better understand what’s happening in a patient’s mouth, while offering treatments designed to address concerns at their root.
Her goal is to help patients see dental care as an important part of their overall wellness rather than something separate from the rest of their health. We’re grateful to have providers like Dr. Larrimore in our community who are helping patients take a more connected approach to their health.

What Our Patients Are Saying
One of the things we value most at Luz Medicine is building long-term relationships with our patients and making care accessible, personal, and supportive. Hearing that reflected back in a patient’s experience means so much to our team.
“The staff at Luz Medicine are simply amazing. Having a concierge doctor who is available to you 24/7 by text, phone call, or in person is so helpful. My wife and I have been patients for over 10 years, and we could not be happier with the caring, conscientious, and proactive care we receive.”
Coming Up On Luz Musings
Our next episode of Luz Musings features Isaac Etter and a conversation about adoption and transracial adoption.
Isaac shares his perspective and experience while exploring how we can better support adopted children as they grow, especially when their racial or cultural background differs from that of their adoptive family.
This episode is for anyone who has adopted, is considering adoption, or simply wants to better understand how to support adoptees and their families. Listen to the newest episode of Luz Musings this Thursday at 5AM on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, iHeartRadio, Amazon Music, and Deezer.

Until Next Week
As you move through the week ahead, consider where you might be able to give yourself a little more breathing room. You don’t have to optimize every part of your life at once. Sometimes caring for yourself looks like doing less, being present with what’s already here, and trusting that not everything needs your attention today. Here’s to a little less white-knuckling and a little more space for what matters more.
