Staying Connected This Season
As we move into a new month and the beginning of the holiday season, it’s a great time to think about connection.
Strong relationships and meaningful connections can play an important role in our overall health and well-being. The weeks ahead can get busy quickly, so take a moment to think about the people and experiences you want to prioritize.
Is there a friend you’ve been meaning to call? A family gathering you want to make time for? A community event you’d love to attend?
Consider choosing one person or special event to intentionally make space for over the next several weeks. Sometimes caring for our health also means making time for the people who help us feel supported, grounded, and connected.
Luz Update: Flu Shots at Ephrata
Flu shots are available onsite at our Ephrata location for patients who are interested.
We also have measles and varicella immunizations available for patients who may need them. With current outbreaks of both still active in the community, please let us know if you have questions about your immunization history or would like to discuss whether either vaccine may be appropriate for you or your family.
We know vaccination is a personal healthcare decision, and our goal is simply to make this option convenient and accessible for those who would like it.

A Note About Supplements
Some of our patients purchase supplements through Pure Encapsulations, and we’ve just updated our supplement handout with the most up-to-date information. In short, Pure Encapsulations is still available, but they’re now under another company called “Fullscript”. See our handout here for basic ordering info.
If you have questions about ordering supplements recommended by your provider, please let us know. We want to make sure you have the information you need and that the process is as simple as possible.
Community Spotlight: Bloom Ultrasound
This week, we’re excited to highlight Bloom Ultrasound, a local family-owned ultrasound practice serving Lancaster and the surrounding community.
Bloom Ultrasound is owned and operated by Ellie Nunn, RDMS, RVT, a registered sonographer with experience in OB/GYN, general, and vascular ultrasound. After working in hospitals, outpatient centers, and mobile ultrasound, Ellie created Bloom with a focus on making diagnostic ultrasound more accessible and personal. Ellie works alongside her husband, John, who brings years of business experience to their family-run practice.
Bloom provides direct-care ultrasound services, meaning patients can access imaging without insurance. If you’ve been waiting to schedule an ultrasound or are looking for another local imaging option, Bloom is a resource worth exploring.
